CHICAGOLAND WATER, BY THE NUMBERS

Our lake water is great. Some of the pipes it travels through are not.

Lake Michigan gives us excellent source water. But in older Chicagoland homes, the last stretch can run through lead service lines and old solder. That's why we filter at the one place that matters most: your kitchen tap. Every number here is sourced.

What's on tap?

Is tap water really safe to drink?

Your city treats water to meet federal rules. Then it travels miles of pipe, including the pipes in your own walls, before it reaches your glass. Here's what that can mean.

Forever chemicals

PFAS are man-made chemicals that break down extremely slowly. They've been found in tap water across the country, especially near cities.

Older plumbing

Homes built before 1986 may have lead solder in their pipes. Lead can enter water inside your home, after it leaves the treatment plant.

Chlorine taste

Disinfectants keep water safe on its way to you, but they change how it tastes and smells, especially in coffee, tea and ice.

Dissolved solids

Minerals and other dissolved material add up. Reverse osmosis removes most of them, and our systems show you the number live.

Hydration you'll actually enjoy.

When water tastes clean and cold from your own tap, you reach for it more, and so do your kids.
Better coffee, clearer ice, tastier cooking, and hydration you feel good about.

WHO WE ARE

A Chicagoland company that treats every home like our own.

Cloud Nine Water started with a simple question our families asked: what's really in the water we drink every day? We wanted an answer we could trust: not a pitcher you forget to refill, and not a pushy salesman in your kitchen.

So we built a better way. We hand-pick every system, work only with licensed plumbers, and stay with you long after install day. When you call, you reach our team, people who care about your water as much as you do.

The Cloud Nine Team

Questions

Is my tap water unsafe?

Your utility's water meets federal standards when it leaves the plant. Reverse osmosis adds a final, certified layer at your own tap, after the pipes, for water that's as pure as it can be.

Do you need to visit my home to quote?

No. Your photos give our plumber everything needed for an exact price.

Who installs it?

A licensed, insured Illinois plumbing contractor, working to the Cloud Nine Standard.

I have quartz or granite. Is that okay?

Yes. Stone needs a specialist bit, so it's quoted up front from your photos. Many sinks already have a spare hole we can use.

Where do you serve?

Chicagoland and the surrounding suburbs. Send us your ZIP and we'll confirm.
